JOHN DAY – According to information from the Grant County Health Department, within the last 7 days, eight new individuals were identified as positive for COVID-19 in Grant County. The individuals reside within the John Day, Canyon City and Prairie City zip codes. To date, 528 individuals have been identified as positive for COVID-19 and six of them have died.
The Oregon Health Authority’s week-long COVID-19 vaccine clinic begins today from 9am until 3p.m. at the fairgrounds pavilion parking lot (download the flyer below). 1st and 2nd doses of Pfizer, as well as the Johnson and Johnson vaccine are available. Residents 12 to 14 years of age need a parental consent form to receive a shot. The vaccines are free. Health insurance is NOT required. But if you have it, bring your card. Appointments are not necessary. Call the Grant County Health Department if you have questions.
