McMahan sentenced to jail time in Grant County mischief/escape case

CANYON CITY – A man will spend several more months in jail, following probation violations, mischief and escape charges. Colby Scott McMahan, 22, pleaded guilty in Grant County Circuit Court to Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Escape in the Third Degree, and Resisting Arrest, all committed on or around September 25^th, 2026.

McMahan will spend a total of 130 days in jail, be placed on Bench Probation for a period of 18 months, and ordered to pay a $500 compensatory fine. One count was disposed with no conviction.
