JOHN DAY – Grant County’s COVID-19 positive case count continues to climb. Today, the Grant County Health Department’s daily update reflects thirteen new cases have been reported since yesterday’s release. Health Department Manager Jessica Winegar said things get busy for them when the cases go up:

“We’ve been doing a lot more with education and outreach with what we have to offer, and if they’ve got questions we can help; but when we start having more cases again it takes us away from that.

And it is definitely challenging to do our everyday jobs AND do case investigation and contact tracing.”
