LA GRANDE – Following a series of reported acts of vandalism, the La Grande Police Department has confirmed that Criminal Mischief charges are pending against a local teen. Specifically, charges of Criminal Mischief II are pending against 18-year-old Ryhlee Jean Larkinssmith for allegedly spray painting on a residence and vehicles.

According to the La Grande Police Department, Larkinssmith has Criminal Mischief II charges pending as she recently, allegedly, painted graffiti on the side of a residence on the 800 block of C Avenue. More recently, Larkinssmith was arrested last week on Criminal Mischief II charges related to spraying graffiti on two vehicles (one of which can be seen in the photo above), which allegedly occurred in the 1800 block of 26th street.

The LGPD further clarified that the victims of all these acts were, “known to Ryhlee,” and that she was reportedly belligerent during the most recent arrests. The LGPD press log published on Friday, September 11, includes the following entry for the September 10 arrest:

“RHYLEE JEAN LARKINS SMITH, DOB: 1/18/2008, WAS ARRESTED BY THE LA GRANDE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND LODGED IN THE UNION COUNTY JAIL ON A CHARGE OF CRIMINAL MISCHIEF II. REFER TO ORIGINAL CASE# LG26-0879.”

Prior to these recent arrests, Larkinssmith was involved in a reported break in of a vacant building in the 100 block of Adams Avenue along with two other individuals.
