Baker City to host live virtual community workshop October 13

BAKER CITY – (Release from Baker City) The Northern Baker Transportation Improvement Plan is addressing current andfuture needs on 10th Street, Hughes Lane, and Cedar Street to increase safety and plan for sustainable economic growth. Based on community input and technical analysis, the project team is recommending preferred roadway improvement concepts onthese important roadways.

The community is invited to a live virtual public meeting on October 13, 2021 beginning at 6:00 p.m. to learn more and provideinput.

5:45 p.m. – Meeting opens 6:00 p.m. – Welcome

6:10 p.m. – Project presentation

6:30 p.m. – Questions and comments from the public

The public can access the public meeting via a link on the project website: www.bakercity.com/2289/NBTIP. The website willalso host a project online open house from October 11 – 22, where the public can view materials and make comments at theirconvenience.

The project kicked off in fall 2020 and is anticipated to be complete in early 2022.
