Comment period for the Blue Mountain Forest Plan Revision closes September 30

EASTERN OREGON – A reminder to Eastern Oregon residents, the comment period for the Blue Mountain Forest Plan Revision Draft Environmental Impact Statement is closing soon. Anyone interested in giving feedback on the plan has until September 30th to submit comments. 

Though not yet finalized, the proposed revision makes significant changes to environmental, economic, and transit regulations and goals for national forest lands across the Pacific Northwest, replacing the now 36-year-old plan put in place in 1990.

Residents can submit electronic comments directly here, or email an attached written letter to sm.fs.bluesforests@usda.gov. Written letters can also be mailed to Umatilla the National Forest Supervisor’s Office at: Attn: Blue Mountains Forest Plan Revision, 72510 Coyote Road, Pendleton, OR 97801.
