LA GRANDE – Roughly a week and a half since the initial announcement, Grande Ronde Hospital reports that the community has nearly reached the year-end match challenge for the da Vinci Surgical Assist System fundraiser. As of December 11, GRH reports that the fundraiser, part of the Healthier Together Campaign, has brought in $19,690 toward the end of year goal of $25,000.
For those unfamiliar, the Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation has launched a campaign to bring a state-of-the-art da Vinci Surgical Assist system to GRH, increasing accessibility to advanced and specialized non-invasive surgical options typically unavailable in Oregon’s rural communities.
Alongside the community donations, various local partners have already donated $75,000 dollars toward the project. As of the time of writing, $5,310 is left to raise by December 31st.
