This transformational surgical technology will expand local access to advanced, minimally invasive care.

As part of the campaign kickoff, the Foundation is introducing a holiday match challenge. Several generous partners have already contributed $75,000 in committed support, and the community is invited to join them by helping raise an additional $25,000 by December 31. These early contributions include:

Oregon Trail Electric Co-Op – $22,500

The Wildhorse Foundation – $30,000

Dr. Wes and Marie Rampton

Dr. Lewis and Carol Baynes

An anonymous local donor

These gifts are already secured and dedicated to the project. The Match Challenge encourages community members to match the generosity of these partners and help reach the next $25,000 in support.

The da Vinci project comes on the heels of the opening of the newly constructed surgical services expansion at GRH, a 96,000-square-foot addition to the hospital’s footprint, and serves as a capstone to the Healthier Together Campaign.

“This is one of the most significant advancements in surgical care our region has the opportunity to receive,” said Patrick Flynn, Foundation Manager of the Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation. “The da

Vinci system will allow patients to receive high-precision, minimally invasive procedures close to home, resulting in shorter recovery times, fewer complications, and better outcomes. We are thrilled to launch this campaign with such strong early support from our community partners.”

The da Vinci Surgical Assist system will serve patients across a wide range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, urology, gynecology, and more. For many patients in Northeast Oregon, accessing advanced surgical technology currently requires traveling significant distances. Bringing the da Vinci system to GRH will eliminate many of those barriers.

The Foundation’s holiday Match Challenge marks the beginning of a focused effort to raise the funds necessary to acquire the system. Community members who give before the end of the year can help advance this important project by contributing toward the next $25,000 in support.

All gifts support the GRH Foundation’s Healthier Together Campaign, which includes ongoing investments in imaging, radiology, and surgical services.

“We are incredibly proud of the strides we’ve made this year with major upgrades to our Family Birthing Center and the expansion of our Radiology and Imaging Department,” said Jeremy Davis, CEO of Grande Ronde Hospital. “The da Vinci system is the next vital step in our commitment to ensuring patients can receive exceptional care right here in our own community.”
