BAKER COUNTY – (Release from Baker County Sheriff’s Office) On May 25, 2023 at approximately 3:17 p.m., Baker County Sheriffโ€™s Office Dispatch received a report of an ATV accident with injuries near Rye Valley Lane. Deputies from the Baker County Sheriffโ€™s Office and Malheur County Sheriffโ€™s Office, along with the Huntington Quick Response Unit responded to the area.Due to the difficult road conditions, deputies parked their vehicles approximately three miles from the crash location and hiked in. They made contact with two individuals identified as William Stewart of Ontario and Randy Kilpatrick of Payette, Idaho. Stewart and Kilpatrick were riding ATVs up the steep, rocky terrain when Stewartโ€™s ATV rolled over him. Stewart suffered injuries to his arm and neck.
