LA GRANDE – (Release from Youth 360) YOUTH 360 will be purchasing a van to be able to help local youth gain better access to services in our community thanks to a $15,000 grant from the Wildhorse Foundation.
Due to the limited resources and vast distances between towns in Eastern Oregon, transportation provides a major barrier to our youth. This van will allow YOUTH 360 to be able to transport youth to and from appointments as well as allow staff the ability to better serve youth in the outlying communities in Union County. YOUTH 360 is excited to be able to provide safe and stable transportation from The 906 Youth Resource Center for individuals who struggle with transportation.
Each year, the Wildhorse Foundation makes grants to eligible nonprofit, government, and Tribal organizations within the homeland area of the Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla people. Also eligible for funding are Tribal government agencies or Indian charitable organizations with their base of operations within Oregon, as well as national or regional Indian organizations.
The Wildhorse Foundation has awarded a total of over $19 million in grant funding since its establishment in 2001. Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis with the deadlines being January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. For more information, visit the Foundation’s website at www.The WildhorseFoundation.com.

We have a vision of cultivating safe, healthy, and resilient youth in our community where they have opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive.
About the Wildhorse Foundation: The fund reflects the commitment of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation to take a proactive, positive role in the well-being of the community.
