Young Republicans of Oregon welcome 4th chapter

IRRIGON – The Young Republicans of Oregon has formed its fourth chapter welcoming members from Umatilla and Morrow counties. The Umatilla Morrow Young Republicans took the first step, electing its officers unanimously.

Evan Purves of Irrigon is the chair. Connor Roberts of Hermiston is vice chair. Kaelyn Moore of Milton-Freewater will serve as secretary.

“I am extremely excited and grateful to lead the Umatilla Morrow Young Republicans,” Purves said in a prepared statement. “Through my leadership, I plan to organize members of UMYR to fight to elect Republicans through Umatilla and Morrow counties.”

The organization is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of conservative leaders. There will be opportunities for them to receive political training, networking, and meeting Republican leaders.
