MISSION – An open house is planned to celebrate the expansion of Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center. It will be Friday from 1-4 p.m. at 46314 Timine Way in Mission.
“The open house will be available to the public,” Quincy George of the center said. “We’ll be hosting light snacks and refreshments and we’d be thrilled to see you there and take in this exciting new addition.”
The expansion includes upgraded laboratories, a new medical wing, and an elders’ entrance. Also, more storage space has been added. Yellowhawk is owned and governed by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation that has been operating since 1996.
The clinic promotes health and well being through a number of services including medical and dental services, behavioral health counseling, substance abuse prevention, and health education and training.
