MISSION – Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center is moving full speed ahead with vaccinations. The clinic has already vaccinated front-line health care workers and tribal elders who elect to have the inoculations.
“We’ve moved into Phase 2B, which is patients 16 to 54 with underlying health conditions,” Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation Director of Communications Matt Johnson said. “Now, we’re looking at Phase 3 which is all remaining Yellowhawk-eligible patients age 60 and over.”
Johnson said there are some eligible members who have opted not to get vaccinated, which is their right.
“We are hoping and expecting to get all of our doses administered by the end of February,” Johnson said. The number of Yellowhawk-eligible recipients is 1,025 he said.
