WALLA WALLA – Today (Friday) is the last day people can give input to help Walla Walla Public Schools devise a curriculum that will better prepare graduates for life beyond high school. The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council is seeking input on what stakeholders believe is essential to help graduates whether they are heading for college, going to work, or entering the military.
Input is asked for from current and former high school students, parents, school staff, higher education faculty and the business community.
“Greater exposure to areas such as personal finance, job readiness, mental well-being, lifetime wellness, social media etiquette and more were all identified by council members,” Superintendent Wade Smith said. “The adult/life course proposal is one of the council’s top two initiatives that they are deeply exploring to help improve the experience for current and future Walla Walla Public Schools’ students.”
The 14-member advisory council meets regularly to seek out and respond to the needs of WWPS students. The survey is at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SQLM75P.
