WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department is holding a Bridging the Gap class on April 4 and seats are still available. The class focuses on providing the community current information on the challenges of law enforcement, the changes in law enforcement and showing what officers face daily on the streets.

Since COVID restrictions and mask mandates have been dropped, Sgt. Gunner Fulmer said he got authorization to extend the class, which was already full, from 25 to 40.

“There is more room now for additional people,” he said.

Fulmer said for the past several months the class has been very successful with great discussion and interaction.

The April 4 class will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Walla Walla Police Department Community Room, 54 E. Moore St., and is the last class offered until October. To sign up for the class, visit https://bit.ly/3q2ZNz5
