WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department is back on social media after reactivating its Facebook account on Monday. The first post featured video of a patrol vehicle with the message, “We’re so excited to be back! Follow us for information regarding community programs and important department messages.”

Former Chief Scott Bieber removed the WWPD from Facebook in June 2020 after he said it was basically hijacked for other people’s agendas by those who didn’t know the department or its officers.

Following the deactivation of its Facebook account in the summer of 2020, the police department was utilizing the city’s Facebook page and its communications manager to distribute its messages.
