WWPD responds to weapon report at Garrison Middle School

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department responded to Garrison Middle School Wednesday at 2:10 p.m. after a student reportedly brought a gun to school.

When officers arrived, they learned school staff had detained the student and secured the backpack, acting quickly after several students alerted them.

Officers found that the gun was a realistic-looking BB gun. The student was arrested and charged with possessing a dangerous weapon on school facilities.

WWPD praised the quick actions of students and staff for ensuring safety.
