WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department is accepting applications for a 911 emergency dispatcher. Applications are being accepted by the city of Walla Walla until March 14.
Testing for the position will being on March 22. Applicants should be familiar with correct English usage including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary; type at least 40 words per minute, and be able to speak clearly and concisely with people in a variety of emotional states.
The right candidate will receive training operating all of the mechanical and electronic equipment used to support dispatch. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and two years clerical experience including computer data.
