WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla police officers arrested Patrick Greenough, 42, after he allegedly rammed a car driven by a man who called 911 Sunday afternoon. Police located the two vehicles near Hope and Catherine streets, got them stopped and detained the suspect.
“Officers reported they could smell the odor of intoxicants and behaviors of Greenough were consistent with being under the influence,” Public Information Officer Gunner Fulmer wrote in a news release. “Greenough was ultimately arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence by the Washington State Patrol who arrived to assist.”
The 22-year-old victim told officers he was being chased by Greenough over allegations of a sexual assault. Neither the victim nor Greenough reported any injuries from the incident.
The Walla Walla Police Department has submitted probably cause charges against Greenough for first-degree assault, driving under the influence, and reckless driving.
