WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department arrested Lucas C. Warneka, 45, a transient, on Tuesday for a burglary at Comprehensive Healthcare’s Walla Walla Center, 1520 Kelly Place.
Warneka was taken into custody and booked into the Walla Walla County Jail for second-degree burglary and second-degree malicious mischief.
At 6:52 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a reported burglary. Nobody was inside, but officers did find extensive damage to the interior of the building, which included tables flipped over and chairs thrown into the drywall. Damage is estimated to be $3,700.
“Warneka left some personal belongings behind that patrol officers were able to connect back to him,” WWPD Public Information Officer Sergeant Nick Loudermilk said.
Police said the burglary happened sometime over the weekend.
