WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Fire Department delivered a present to the Walla Walla Police Department this week. WWFD gave the officers a treadmill.
It didn’t take long for police personnel to notice something a little different about the exercise equipment. Public Information Officer Gunner Fulmer called the added gift “motivational.”
“In the spirit of interdepartmental cooperate, the fire department was happy to donate our old treadmill to WWPD today,” Chief Bob Yancey wrote. “On-duty crews delivered the machine this morning, and to show how much they care about their fellow law enforcement brothers’ health, even added a little incentive for them to work out.”
Dangling at mouth level on the treadmill, held by a well-placed twig, is a doughnut.
