Walla Walla – Walla Walla Community College is welcoming students and community members back to its campuses in Walla Walla and Clarkston following mandatory COVID-19 pandemic closures. The change is made possible by lower transmission rates, growing vaccination rates, and continued due diligence by both the college and the community.
“Our students, staff, and faculty have demonstrated tremendous patience, care, and flexibility this year,” President Chad Hickox said. “I’m eager to welcome everyone back to campus, and students can expect the highly personalized attention and excellent service for which WWCC has long been known.”
The college is currently registering students for the summer quarter that starts June 21 and the fall quarter which begins on Sept. 20. The students will be given the option of continuing studies online, receiving 100-percent face-to-face instruction, or choosing a combination of the two.
Advisors are available now to help students register and obtain financial assistance. In addition to private contributions made to the college’s foundation by local donors, WWCC has received more than $4 million from the federal government to ensure eligible students will have financial assistance to cover tuition and expenses.
