WALLA WALLA – Staff at the Walla Walla Finance Department have encountered an issue with some utility payments made between approximately Dec. 10-16, 2023 that were either mailed or deposited into the Third Avenue drop box in front of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ building.
The city has filed a claim with the United States Postal Service and staff are actively investigating the issue. No further details have been released regarding the issue.
Customers who mailed or deposited their payments between those dates should contact their financial institution to verify whether the check or credit card payment was applied to their account.
