WALLA WALLA – Richard Eugene Price, 76, of Walla Walla faces multiple charges following allegations of dealing, possessing and viewing child pornography. He was arrested at his apartment June 14 following cyber tips made by Yahoo and Google last October and December.

Three previously reported cyber tips were later associated to Price, the first one dating back to 2017.

Last month, a search warrant was executed and Price admitted to detectives in an interview that he had possession of child sexual abuse materials on his electronic devices in his residence.

According to court documents, Price denied committing any offenses against children in real life. He stated that he like to ride the bus and go to the mall in Tri-Cities to look at children and implied he fantasized about them. Price denied interacting with the children he saw in public and stated that it would be too tempting for him if he did.

Price is scheduled to be arraigned on July 1. He’s been ordered to house arrest over the state’s objections.
