WW deputy city manager to step down citing health concerns

WALLA WALLA โ€“ Walla Walla Deputy City Manager Robert โ€œBobโ€ Francis has announced he is stepping down on Nov. 1. Citing health concerns, Francis made the announcement at the end of last Wednesdayโ€™s city council meeting.

Francis began his employment with the city on April 3, 2023. Aside from being deputy city manager, he has also been director of the support services department.

A 14-year veteran of the U.S. Army, Francis was city manager of Belle Isle, Florida, prior to coming to Walla Walla. Before that, he was the executive director of the Mid-Columbia Council of Governments located in The Dalles, Oregon.
