WW deputy city manager to step down citing health concerns

WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla Deputy City Manager Robert “Bob” Francis has announced he is stepping down on Nov. 1. Citing health concerns, Francis made the announcement at the end of last Wednesday’s city council meeting.

Francis began his employment with the city on April 3, 2023. Aside from being deputy city manager, he has also been director of the support services department.

A 14-year veteran of the U.S. Army, Francis was city manager of Belle Isle, Florida, prior to coming to Walla Walla. Before that, he was the executive director of the Mid-Columbia Council of Governments located in The Dalles, Oregon.
