WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla City Council will consider eliminating late-fee charges for adults with overdue books or materials at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. today (Wednesday). The city has already eliminated fines on overdue books checked out by children.

The council will also set public hearing dates for three annexation requests. They are The Berney Drive and Pleasant Street annexation, the Artesia Avenue annexation, and the Hatch Street annexation. All three hearings will be scheduled for June 23 if the council approves.

The agenda also calls for a public hearing and vote on a six-year comprehensive transportation plan. Such a plan is required by the state to apply for grant funding for projects.

The meeting is streamed live on the city’s website and can also be joined via Zoom. The meeting ID is 896 1067 3103#.
