KENNEWICK — The Washington State Patrol reported Tuesday that detectives arrested Kayla B. Shuttleworth of Umatilla, along with Sergio A. Villanueva of Pasco, in relation to last Thursday’s drive-by shooting on State Route 397 in Kennewick.
Shuttleworth and Villanueva were both booked into the Benton County Jail on charges of first-degree assault, drive-by shooting and possessing a weapon capable of bodily harm.
Trooper Chris Thorson said detectives were able to make the arrests following tips provided over the weekend by the public and local law enforcement.
Shortly after the shooting, WSP sent out photos of Shuttleworth and her vehicle stating she was a person of interest.
