WSP seeks persons of interest in hit and run collision

KENNEWICK – The Washington State Patrol is seeking the public’s help locating two persons of interest in a serious injury, hit and run collision involving a green 1998 Dodge Ram truck and a grey 2019 Toyota Corolla at the intersection of State Route 397 and East Columbia Drive in Kennewick.

The incident occurred Monday at 6:25 p.m. Trooper Chris Thorson said the Dodge truck was traveling northbound on SR-397 and turned onto East Columbia Drive. The Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on SR-397. The Dodge truck failed to yield the right of way and struck the Toyota Corolla. Five occupants in the Toyota Corolla were injured, one seriously. Witnesses identified Malcom Slack and Marcus Cummings, shown in photograph, as persons of interest occupying the truck and fleeing the scene of the collision on foot.
