WSP investigates freeway shooting

PROSSER – The Washington State Patrol is investigating a shooting that took place on Interstate 82 near Prosser at around 11 p.m. Tuesday night. The victim, who has not been identified, was driving east she the shooting occurred.

WSP states that the man was able to drive about three miles and take the Wine Country Road exit and parked at a gas station there. He was transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center. His condition has not been released by authorities. A portion of the interstate was shut down while WSP investigators looked for clues but reopened about two hours later.
