LA GRANDE – Northeastern Oregon Economic Development District (NEOEDD) is again offering the popular “Destination Creation” eight-week workshop series for Union County business owners beginning January 20, 2022. These workshops will show you how to turn your business into a Consumer Destination that is consistently preferred by your customers, which will then help your business capture more market share, even when larger and more capitalized competitors seem to have an advantage. This series will give you the framework to think about your business and the changes you need to make to pivot to online sales, as well as how to position your business to become a destination that your customers will visit during the time of COVID and beyond.

The destination business concepts will be presented in recorded videos by small business mentor and professional speaker Jon Schallert. NEOEDD Executive Director Lisa Dawson, a certified facilitator of the program, brings decades of experience working with businesses to the online discussions about the concepts. The classes will be held at the Cook Memorial Library in Downtown La Grande, on Thursdays from 8:00– 10:30 AM from January 20th to March 17th (skipping February 24th).

The regular fee for the course is $399. However, NEOEDD is offering a special option for businesses in Union County. Sign up and pay $199 now and receive $199 back after attending the entire series (with no more than one excused absence) and submitting a plan for implementing new actions to improve your business. If coming up with the registration fee is out of reach, scholarships are available for business owners who have a low-to-moderate income.
