ENTERPRISE – (Release from Working Homes LLC) The Wildhorse Foundation awarded Working Homes LLC a $20,000 grant to support critical stonework stabilization at the historic Enterprise Mercantile and Milling (E.M.&M.) Building in downtown Enterprise. With this funding, local contractor Melville Stone LLC has been hired to repoint and stabilize the Bowlby stone façade, ensuring the building’s long-term structural integrity.
“This grant gives peace of mind not only to residents of the building, but also to neighboring businesses,” said Kelsey Juve, Program Manager of Working Homes LLC. “Support from organizations like the Wildhorse Foundation is critical to our mission of providing safe and affordable housing in Wallowa County.”
The Wildhorse Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations, government entities, and Tribal organizations within the homeland of the Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla people. Since its establishment in 2001, the Foundation has awarded more than $19 million in grant funding to strengthen communities throughout the region.
