Worker dies at Tyson meat processing plant in Wallula

WALLULA — A worker died Friday morning at the Tyson Fresh Meats processing plant in Wallula, company officials confirmed.

No details regarding the worker’s identity or the cause of death have been released.

In a statement, a company spokesperson expressed condolences to the employee’s family and fellow team members.

Tyson officials said the company is cooperating with local authorities and has notified the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
