Work updates for McAlister Rd Bridge, 2nd Street in La Grande and OR86 Bridge

UNION/BAKER COUNTIES – (Information provided by ODOT) Crews continue to work on multiple bridge projects in Union and Baker County. Work for the week of June 6-10 is as follows:
McAlister Rd Bridge: Removal of the old rail on the east side of the bridge will be completed this week. Drilling for anchors for the new rail will begin mid-week. There will be lane closures and flagging with up to 20 minute delays on McAlister Rd all week.
2nd Street Bridge over I-84: The bridge remains closed to vehicles, but open to bicycles and pedestrians 24/7. They will be setting forms and pouring concrete for the new rail on the east side of the bridge all week.
OR86 Bridge over I-84 (Richland Interchange): They will be drilling holes and installing anchors for the new rail this week. Rebar installation for the new rail may begin late in the week. There will be flaggers with up to 20 minute delays when work is occurring. There will be no impacts to traffic flow during non-work hours.
