PASCO – Work to stabilize the rock slope along Highway 730 starts Wednesday. The Washington State Department of Transportation states it is believed that Apollo Construction will complete the job by Friday.
The highway has been closed since Jan. 19. A rockfall brought rocks and other loose debris down onto the roadway. The closure is between the Oregon state line and Wallula Junction, which is about 13 miles south of Pasco.
The highway will remain closed until the work is completed. At that time, the Washington State Department of Transportation will announce it has reopened.
