MEACHAM – Work on I-84 around Meacham will continue this week after a series of snowstorms put a halt on work last week.
This week’s work will include temporary striping, placement of surface mounted orange markers, moving of concrete barrier, replacement of temporary road signs, and other activities to prepare for a traffic change to opposing traffic on the westbound side of the freeway that will take place all week.
According to the Resident Engineer for ODOT, the contractor is hoping to make the switch late in the week.
There will be a fair amount of activity immediately adjacent to live traffic, so please use caution.
The posted speed WB is now 50 MPH through the workzone so please slow down and plan extra time if you are travelling WB. The EB posted speed will remain 70 MPH until Tuesday or Wednesday.
