PLYMOUTH – Drivers traveling on eastbound Interstate 82 near Plymouth, just north of the Washington and Oregon border, need to plan for added travel time due to 24-hour lane closures starting Sunday, May 7.
Maintenance Crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation will spend the next two weeks replacing two miles of deteriorating concrete panels in the eastbound lanes of I-82 between mileposts 124 and 126. To do this work, maintenance crews will close an eastbound lane starting Sunday, May 7 until Monday, May 22. Crews will be removing deteriorating concrete panels, pouring new concrete, and allowing time for the concrete to cure.
For the safety of crews, vehicles over 10-feet-wide will not be allowed through the work zone and will need to find alternate routes.
