MILTON-FREEWATER – Crews from the city of Milton-Freewater have begun the process of upgrading Yantis Park. It includes new playground equipment, repairing the walking paths and improving ADA access to the park.

This week, city crews are beginning to work on making repairs to the walking path and installing new ADA curb ramps. These upgrades will require sections of the walking paths and sidewalks to be closed while the improvements are completed. The repairs will take weeks to complete, however city staff does not have an exact schedule for the closures.

The $190,000 park upgrade project is being funded through the parks local option tax, plus an Oregon Parks and Recreation Department grant.
