Work begins soon on Grant County Fairgrounds covered stage and picnic area

JOHN DAY – Grant County Fairgrounds Manager Mindy Winegar swung by the studio this morning, and said soon the public will see a new stage area going in:
“On the 9th of October, we’ll have a contractor starting our covered stage and a picnic area out in the main yard. I think it’s a thirty-by-sixty [foot] covered picnic area, and then we’ll have a permanent stage in it.”
Winegar said much of the improvement work to the fairgrounds is thanks to grant funding. Listen to the full podcast here:
