Woman sentenced to jail on Grant County firearms charges

CANYON CITY – A woman will spend time in jail on a firearms charge, according to Grant County Circuit Court documents. Brandie Bertell (Woodward) Lucas pleaded guilty to two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, committed in May of last year.
Lucas was sentenced to 30 days in jail and placed on Supervised Probation for 36 months with Special Conditions. The probation includes 80 hours of community service and completion of a Moral Reconation Therapy program. The guulty pleas were entered March 3rd, 2026.
