BAKER COUNTY— A 21-year-old Baker City woman is in jail on multiple charges after crashing a vehicle, striking a mailbox, and resisting arrest on Pocahontas Road. The incident occurred Monday evening. Read the BCSO press release below:

On 2/16/26 at approximately 9:51 p.m., Baker County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a report of a motor vehicle crash on Pocahontas Road.
Deputies responded to the scene and located a 2019 Buick Enclave in the roadway with front end damage. A mailbox and mailbox post were also located in the lane of travel.
During the investigation, it appeared the driver and sole occupant, Kelly Lorraine Cranley (21 yoa) of Baker City left the roadway, struck a mailbox and drove back onto the roadway coming to a stop. Cranley exhibited signs of impairment.
Cranley was arrested and charged with DUII, Reckless Driving, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Mischief III. As deputies were taking Cranley into custody, Cranley began pulling away and actively resisting. Cranley was transported to the Baker County Jail and lodged.
Baker County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Baker City Police Department, Pioneer Ambulance, Baker Rural Fire Protection District, and Keating Rural Fire Protection District.
