Woman allegedly tries to pass drugs at prison

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is reviewing a case involving a woman who allegedly attempted to bring what is believed to be methamphetamine into the Washington State Penitentiary during a scheduled visit with an inmate earlier this month.

According to the Walla Walla Police Department, a 33-year-old female, who is not from the area, was contacted February 13 on prison property. She was found to be in possession of approximately 17 grams of suspected methamphetamine in small packages.

The police department did not disclose the woman’s identity.
