UNION COUNTY (Information from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife) The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) has confirmed wolves killed one calf and injured another in Union County.
ODFW says the incident occurred July 7 on private land in the Five Points Creek area and is attributing the depredation to the Five Points Pack.
ODFW says the same pack injured another calf in the Umatilla County portion of Five Points Creek on July 12.
Five Points Creek is about 10 miles northwest of La Grande, near the Mt. Emily Recreation Area.
