BAKER AND WALLOWA COUNTIES – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) has confirmed wolves killed one calf and possibly another in Baker County and a calf was injured by wolves in Wallowa County.
ODFW says the Baker County incidents occurred July 26 on private land in the Manning Creek area east of Durkee and is attributing one killing to the Lookout Mountain Pack
ODFW says another dead calf was discovered that day in the same area and it’s possible that it was also killed by wolves.
On July 21 in Wallowa County, one calf was injured on private land in the Grossman Creek area and officials confirmed it was from the Wildcat Pack.
