PENDLETON โ The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the region beginning Thursday at 7 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m. Friday. It includes the cities of Pendleton, Walla Walla, Dayton, Condon, Athena, Pilot Rock, and Waitsburg.
Forecasters predict two to four inches of snow which could impact the Friday morning commute. Meanwhile, Pendleton Police Chief Chuck Byram repeats his annual advice to drivers in winter weather.
โEverybodyโs dealing with it and they have to get through it the best way they can,โ he said. โSlow down, be patient, carry the proper equipment, and if you need help call us and weโll come and do what we can for you.โ
