EASTERN OREGON- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning with 8 to 19 inches in areas expected and wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
What: Heavy snow expected above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 19 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 MPH.
Where: In Oregon, northern Blue Mountains of Oregon. In Washington, northwest Blue Mountains.
When: From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM PST Thursday.
Impacts Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Additional details Periods of heavy snow will impact the northern blues Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, and again late Wednesday evening through Thursday. Strong gusty winds will also produce low visibilities at times late Wednesday through Thursday.
