PENDLETON – Winter weather has calmed a bit. National Weather Service Hydrologist Marilyn Lohmann said people in the region should enjoy it while they can.
“There are changes expected as we head into the second half of the month,” she said. “Some of the weather models are indicating much colder temperatures. We’ll probably see a little bit more winter in the second half of February.”
While warmer than normal temperatures are in the forecast for this week, Lohmann doubts they’ll make the record books.
“I don’t think we’ll see any record high temperatures this week,” she said. “They’ll be quite warm, but the record highs are much warmer than that. Some of them are into the upper 60s and even the low 70s.”
