JOHN DAY – According to the National Weather Service, a cold front traveling south across the Pacific Northwest tonight through tomorrow morning will have strong winds aloft and at the surface. Damaging winds are expected with this system, and a Wind Advisory has been issued for the John Day Basin. The advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. this evening until 10 a.m. tomorrow for west winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
The agency reminds folks to use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle, and secure outdoor objects. Stay posted for updates.
