Wildland Firefighting class offered to Long Creek students

LONG CREEK – Long Creek School Superintendent Larry Glaze was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently, discussing a vocational opportunity for their high school juniors and seniors to learn more about wildland firefighting:
“The Wildland Firefighting is a new course for us. We’re excited about that. Mr. Wilcox is the perfect person to be in charge of that class…he lends a lot of credibility in terms of his firsthand experience.
The class itself is through Treasure Valley Community College. We have a group of boys that will actually come out of that class with certifications.”
