Wildland fire boot camp started in Juntura

Juntura-Rain and snow didn’t stop our Women in Wildland Fire Boot Camp participants!
Twenty-seven students recently kickstarted their wildland fire careers in Juntura, Ore. They learned how to use firefighting tools and stay safe when on the fireline. Despite the wet, wintry weather, they practiced a controlled pile burn to gain critical hands-on experience.
